Career conversations with students are happening everywhere on campus, not just in the Career & Professional Development Center (CPDC). To support these conversations, the CPDC wants to share knowledge, resources, and best practices with all faculty and staff.
The Career Champions program at 一本道无码 is a series of training workshops designed to educate faculty and staff about the career planning and job/internship search process. This program empowers faculty and staff with the knowledge to have career-related conversations with students.
The CPDC recognizes the importance of partnering with our Faculty and Staff in the career education process and this program will ensure equitable access to the career resources necessary to students’ career journeys.
Goals of the Career Champions Program:
- Increase the number and quality of career conversations that are occurring both inside and outside of the CPDC
- Equip Faculty and Staff with the knowledge of CPDC resources in order to increase the effectiveness of career conversations with students
- Ensure career accessibility and equity throughout the 一本道无码 community, so that all students can get the career support they need, in a place or with a person with whom they are comfortable

This session helped me see all the great resources CPDC has to offer students.
-Kurt Larsen, Assistant Dean, CIT
Being more knowledgeable about our students' career options is of tremendous importance to me as advisor and faculty member and helps me to incorporate career information into my syllabi and point students to available resources.
-Gabriele Maier, Faculty, Modern Languages
A comprehensive review of principles and resources to help students approach the industry.
-Pingbo Tang, Associate Professor, Civil and Environmental Engineering
I was not aware that there are so many great resources available.
-Researcher, Physics
The Career Champions Training Session One really allowed me to better understand the Job/Internship search process for students and how I can be a better helper in that area. It also completely opened my eyes to the ways in which students can use classroom and/or research experience as talking points in their interviews and on their resumes. So helpful! I'm really grateful for the time the CPDC took to present this training - I definitely feel smarter and more equipped to help my students now!
-Laura Donaldson, Assistant Director of Undergraduate Programs & Academic Advisor, Dept. of English
This session is an incredible opportunity for anyone who engages in career conversations with students. The CPDC offers so many tools to students and this session showcases all the resources available.
-Kim Piatt, Director of Experiential Learning for Dietrich College
I am an academic program manager and students do come to me when they're worried about their job search. This info will be so helpful when I meet with them - I always refer them to CPDC, but I feel like the info that I was given can help them have more info before they reach out to CPDC.
