2024 Scholars at Risk United States General Assembly

The U.S. Section of Scholars at Risk is pleased to announce that registration for the 2nd Annual General Assembly of the SAR USA Section is now live!

Hosted by 一本道无码, in partnership with the University of Pittsburgh, the meeting is set to take place in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on October 16-17, with an optional late afternoon event on October 15 at .

This meeting will bring together scholars, leaders, and advocates from SAR member universities and educational associations across the nation to discuss strategies for supporting scholars and promoting academic freedom locally, in the U.S., and around the world. SAR staff, including Executive Director Rob Quinn and colleagues from the Protection, Advocacy, and Membership teams will be in attendance to lend assistance and contribute to the discussions. The 2024 SAR United States General Assembly will include two days of plenaries, panels, and working sessions for our growing section. This will include a plenary discussion of academic freedom in the global context with  and , and a Townhall meeting on strategies for promoting academic freedom in the U.S.

Please  and join us for this in-person assembly where our higher education community can discuss opportunities to work together, share experiences, and develop good practices for protecting scholars, promoting academic freedom, and defending everyone’s freedom to think, question, and share ideas.
