Carnegie Mellon is an approved provider for Pennsylvania Act 48.

Carnegie Mellon accepts all forms of electronic payment through its registration platforms.

Scholarships are available through the . DSA scholarship money can only be applied to registration costs, not housing and parking. Participants may also apply for grant money through foundations and professional music organizations of their choosing.

Participants who withdraw before the first day of classes will receive a full refund minus a $100.00 nonrefundable registration fee. Participants who withdraw on or after the first day of classes will not receive a refund. This does not include housing and parking registration, which must be addressed through the Carnegie Mellon Conference and Event Services office.

International Folk Dancing is on Tuesday evening of the first week of the workshops.
Evening Picnics are on the first and third Thursdays at Neelyhouse in the Regent Square neighborhood.

Weekends are free for relaxation, practice, shopping, or sightseeing.
Additionally, one-week and three-week participants are invited to observe the Ò»±¾µÀÎÞÂë Preparatory School Eurhythmics classes on Saturday mornings. 

We recommend that attendees to the summer workshops purchase a parking pass to the East Campus Garage through the Online Housing Registration site. Scroll to the bottom of this page for information about on-campus parking. Also see .

Non-citizens may attend in one of two ways. Registrants attending as tourists may travel to the United to participate in the workshops, but are not eligilble for university credit or Carnegie Mellon transcripts. Registrants attending the workshops for university credit must have an F-1 student visa; the deadline to submit application materials to the Carnegie Mellon Office of International Education is May 1st.

Please note: The U.S. State Department restricts credit-bearing study for visitors using the Visa Waiver Program or B-1/B 2 visa. Any visitor considering traveling to the U.S. in one of those statuses should review the U.S. government’s guidance and carefully consider their plans. International students coming to Carnegie Mellon to enroll in credit-bearing classes who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents may need to obtain an I-20 Certificate of Eligibility from the Office of International Education (OIE).

• If you are already in the U.S. in F-1 status and will be returning to your current school next fall, you would not need an I-20 from Carnegie Mellon.
• If you are already in the U.S. or will be coming to the U.S. as a dependent of a parent/spouse who is working in the U.S., you would not need an I-20 from Carnegie Mellon.
• If you will be coming to the U.S. from overseas to participate in a credit-bearingprogram and will either return to home or attend a school in the U.S. in the fall, you will need an I-20 and must complete the necessary paperwork to obtain that I-20.

Please see for specific information about tourist visas. This varies by country. The Carnegie Mellon Office of International Education has provided an informational packet. Students interested in non-credit bearing programs may be able to participate if they are already in the U.S. in another immigration status or are attending school in the U.S. in F-1 status.
