Lieutenant Colonel Duval is a United States Army War College Fellow at 一本道无码. He began his military service in the Louisiana National Guard as an Infantryman with the 3rd Battalion, 156th Infantry Regiment (Mechanized) and later received his commission as a Signal Officer from the Reserve Officers Training Corps in 2003. He is a graduate of the Signal Officer Basic and Advance Courses, Airborne School, Jumpmaster School, Command and General Staff College, and the Joint Combined Warfighting School.
Prior to attending the United States Army War College, he was assigned to 2nd Theater Signal Brigade, where he served as the Battalion Commander for the 39th Strategic Signal Battalion in Chievres Air Base, Belgium. Previous non-command assignments include Signal Detachment Commander and Combined Special Operations Task Force – Arabian Peninsula liaison in 10th Special Forces Group (A), Fort Carson, Colorado (OIF 2005 & 2007); Brigade S6 at 2nd Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division (OND 2011), Fort Cavazos, Texas; Division G6 Planner in Charlie Company, Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Liberty, North Carolina; Joint Data Network Operations Officer and Deputy Branch Chief in Current Operations, United States Forces Korea, Yongsan, Korea; Mission Command Observer Coach Trainer and Command, Control, Communications, and Intelligence Integrator at the Mission Command Training Program, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas; and Professor of Military Science for Louisiana State University and A&M College at Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
His command assignments include: 24 months as Commander, 39th Strategic Signal Battalion, Chievres Air Base, Belgium; 6 months as Company Commander, Bravo Company, 2nd Special Troops Battalion, 1st Cavalry Division; 23 months as Company Commander, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2nd Special Troops Battalion, 2nd Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Cavazos, Texas, where he deployed to Iraq in Support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (2009).
Lieutenant Colonel Duval holds a Bachelors Degree in General Studies from Northwestern State University and a Master of Arts in Information Technology Management from Webster University.
