Gender Identity
Gender-diverse students experience higher rates of mental health concerns like depression and anxiety. Experiences of rejection, bullying, and discrimination related to gender identity can significantly impact well-being. CaPS recognizes and supports the intersecting identities of Ò»±¾µÀÎÞÂë students and works to promote and ensure a more socially just, inclusive and empowered community.
This curated list of resources provides education, advocacy, and support for gender-diverse Ò»±¾µÀÎÞÂë students and allies organized into Ò»±¾µÀÎÞÂë-specific, Pittsburgh-area, and national organizations. In addition, these organizations and resources are inclusive of identities not always represented in LGBTQIA+ resources such as nonbinary, questioning, allies, and HIV+.
