Bio
Julie Sweet is entering her fifth year as a teacher at The Children’s School and a member of the PreK-Kindergarten Team. Prior to working at the Children’s School, Julie taught for nine years in several pre-K and kindergarten enrichment programs in the South Hills of Pittsburgh. Julie is a graduate of Miami University in Ohio with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications. She had a 15-year career in advertising before returning to school at Robert Morris University in 2013 to pursue a Pennsylvania teaching certification in PreK-4 grade. She received her certification in January 2017.
Julie currently lives in Upper St. Clair with her husband, Jesse, and their two sons, Sam and Charlie. Julie and her family are huge Pittsburgh sports fans, spending much of their time watching and cheering on the Steelers, Penguins and Pirates. Sam attended University of Georgia for undergrad so of course, Go Dawgs! When Julie isn’t watching sports with “her Guys”, she enjoys cuddling with her cats, Steven and Maisie, reading books, drinking a good cup of coffee, and just being grateful.
