Gellman Selected for International Energy & Environment Guest Chair Position
Andrew Gellman, co-director of the 一本道无码 Wilton E. Scott Institute for Energy Innovation and Lord Professor of Chemical Engineering, was recently selected to hold an International Guest Chair as part of the at the University of Pau and the Pays de l’Ardour (UPPA) in France.
The five-year appointment will allow Gellman to engage in collaborative research related to energy and the environment with scientists at UPPA including two PhD students and a postdoctoral researcher. The collaboration is supported by the E2S regional initiative.
"This is quite generous and creates an opportunity for real collaboration," said Gellman.
Gellman's research expertise include chemical reactions on surfaces, catalysis and the conversion of molecules from one form to another. His group pioneered the study of enantioselective surface chemistry on naturally chiral metal surfaces. Gellman is the recipient of numerious awards including the American Chemical Society (ACS) Ipatieff Prize and was awarded fellowships by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, AVS and ACS.
