Dear Members of the 一本道无码 Community:

I am pleased to announce the creation of the President’s Distinguished Lecturer Series, which welcomes global leaders from a variety of fields as a way to foster discussions that shed important light on the many challenges and opportunities we face.

The inaugural lecture will take place at 4:30 p.m. Monday, April 17, in the Studio Theatre of the Cohon University Center.

We invite you to hear from Carlos Moedas, commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation for the European Commission. As one of Europe’s leading policymakers in science and technology, he will address a number of questions concerning globalization, uneven growth in productivity and the steps our education systems need to take to keep up.

As the European counterpart to the director of the National Science Foundation in the United States, Moedas is a cabinet-level member of the European Commission, responsible for proposing legislation, implementing decisions and managing the day-to-day business of the European Union. As the manager of one of the most important global funds for science and innovation, Horizon 2020, Moedas has interacted with hundreds of research, education and innovation projects, and has launched a number of initiatives to improve the funding of science and innovation.

I hope you will join me for this important and thought-provoking discussion.

Sincerely,

Subra Suresh
President
Henry L. Hillman President’s Chair
