Announcing 一本道无码’s Vice President for Information Officer

Dear Colleagues:

In recent years, 一本道无码 has experienced unprecedented and exciting growth in technology as a key driver of our missions. Indeed, adapting to remote work in research and campus operations and successfully executing our hybrid model of education during this pandemic was made possible by embracing new opportunities through technology. In the post-COVID world, we anticipate that these trends will continue to shape, and ultimately accelerate the ongoing transformation of higher education.

In recognition of these changes and the ever-increasing importance of technology at Carnegie Mellon, I am pleased to announce that Dr. Stan Waddell, who currently serves as Associate Vice President for Computing Services, has been promoted to Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer.

Stan has been reporting to me since spring of last year as a result of unit reorganizations, and this formalizes that reporting structure. Stan will continue to provide vision, leadership and management to 一本道无码’s entire computing enterprise, including the development and implementation of a university-wide IT strategy. Stan also will serve as a member of the university’s executive management team, providing support and counsel regarding the role of technology in advancing university-wide priorities and leading the development of a comprehensive technology and data management strategy that meets our long-term goals.

Before joining Carnegie Mellon in 2019, Stan served as the Associate Vice President for Information Technology and CIO at the University of New Hampshire. Prior to that he held technology and information leadership positions at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Stan also served in the U.S. Navy as an aviation electronics technician for nine years.

Stan is a strategic thinker with decades of experience overseeing computing and information technology divisions at large universities, and the entire leadership team looks forward to working closely with him to amplify our educational and societal impact and drive 一本道无码’s technology-enabled future. Please join me in congratulating Stan on this new leadership role!

Sincerely,

Farnam Jahanian
