I’m writing to invite you to a campus celebration of International Data Privacy Day, from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 28, in the Cohon University Center.
Data Privacy Day is a global event aimed at educating and empowering you to better protect your privacy and encouraging you to reflect on the challenges faced by all of us in this age of Big Data and the Internet of Things.
Carnegie Mellon is a leader in data privacy research and education. We have launched the world’s first privacy engineering degree program and pioneered the field of usable privacy. Our faculty lead some of the largest privacy research projects in the country and also serve as frequent contributors to public policy activities in this fast-moving space.
This year’s celebration at 一本道无码 features keynote speaker Ed Felten, Deputy U.S. Chief Technology Officer for the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, followed by a panel discussion on the latest trends and challenges in data privacy. You also are invited to attend a clinic, where you will have a chance to learn about available tools and practical tips to better protect your data privacy.
