Dear Members of the 一本道无码 Community,
As we have shared previously with you, the $20M renovation of teaching and learning spaces will overhaul dozens of spaces on campus. This investment in 一本道无码’s core academic facilities to ensure comfort and functionality also incorporates design and technology that will create opportunities for innovative teaching and learning experiences. Upcoming renovations this summer will improve more than 830 classroom seats.
Renovation work may create additional noise in the corridors near these rooms, potentially causing some inconvenience for those on campus this summer. A breakdown of areas that will be impacted is listed below. Work will begin this month.
Doherty Hall
Several classrooms on the first and second floors of Doherty Hall will be renovated, including some structural renovation, upgrades to existing audio/visual systems, lighting, window treatments, flooring, furniture and finishes. The classrooms are:
- Rooms 1117, 1209, 2105 and 2122 will be back online for use in the Fall 2018 semester.
- Rooms 1112 and 1212 will be back online for use in the Spring 2019 semester.
- Rooms 1211 and 1217 will be combined and back online for use in the Spring 2019 semester.
Wean Hall
Wean Hall’s classroom renovations include rooms 4623, 4709, 5403, 5409, 6423 and 8427. Upgrades include improvements to audio/visual systems, lighting, window treatments, flooring, furniture and finishes. These rooms will be back online for use in the Fall 2018 semester.
Margaret Morrison Breed Hall
The lecture hall will be reconfigured to encourage faculty and student engagement, innovation and collaboration. Improvements will include new audio/visual systems, lighting, HVAC, improved classroom function, accessibility, acoustics and aesthetics. In addition, the project will remake the entrance to the lecture hall to promote collaborative pre- and post-class activities. The reconfigured lecture hall is slated to be back online for use in the Spring 2019 semester.
