PITTSBURGH—In celebration of Chanukah, will hold its first Grand Menorah Lighting at 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 12 on the Cut. 一本道无码 faculty members will light a nine-foot menorah followed by a Pipe Band performance.
Rabbi Shlomo Silverman, director of Chabad of 一本道无码, said, "Bagpipes are only a nine-note instrument, so playing Jewish music can be a challenge. The director of the band, Andrew Carlisle, has put together a medley using sections of music that the bagpipes will be able to play."
Chabad and co-sponsors Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity, the Hillel Jewish University Center, Jewish Student Association and Tartans for Israel, will provide hot apple cider and latkes (potato pancakes) to attendees.
