Requests for Additional Action
An Academic Review Meeting is required in all cases in which a course instructor or a student’s home department requests additional action beyond course failure. In these circumstances, the course instructor/student’s department head or designee should notify the student in writing via email that additional outcomes are being requested given the severity of the policy violation. This notification may occur in the initial course-level action notification or in a subsequent communication. The request for additional action will then be reviewed during the Academic Review Meeting. If a request for additional action is advanced by the department head or designee, they will be invited to participate in the Academic Review Meeting.
