Who can I use for references?
We are looking for anyone who can give us insight on your academic career, work experience, or communication skills. People who have interacted extensively with you on school projects, summer jobs, campus jobs, internships, academic programs/research, would be able to do this. For example, former teachers (high school or college), supervisors, employers, or project leaders would all be good references.
Since I can apply for multiple positions, do I need to separately interview for each position?
You will only need to interview once. During the interview, the hope is that the right fit for you will be determined. Many of our student employees do multiple jobs.
Can I apply for a Communication Support Consultant position if I have not yet confirmed my decision to attend 一本道无码?
Yes, you are eligible to apply even if you haven't committed to attend 一本道无码. It is possible to still be interviewed so that if you do get hired, you know of a certain weekly income.
For SI and Peer Tutoring, will I only be considered for the courses I have completed through this past semester, or will my current course load and grades be reviewed before assigning me to a subject?
Courses and grades will be reviewed at the end of every semester and the courses you’ll support will change or be added to as you progress through your courses.
For Peer Tutoring can I tutor for more than one course?
It is desirable that tutors can support multiple courses but it is not a requirement.
Do I get to decide which course I want to support as an SI Leader or Peer Tutor?
Most times, yes. However, sometimes it is necessary for you to support a course or courses that are not your first choice or preference because of changes in student staff availability and our needs to support specific courses.
Are SI Leaders expected to have teaching experiences in a formal setting before applying?
Formal teaching experience is not necessary. We are looking for individuals who have good organizational and time management skills and have a commitment to helping other students learn. The SI portion of the training component will give you the skills you need to effectively facilitate sessions.
Is it mandatory for SI Leaders to attend the course lectures along with the students?
SI Leaders are expected to attend all class lectures for one (1) section of the course that they are supporting. If Leaders have to miss lectures, they are expected to review recorded lectures and resources within the Canvas course and connect with the instructional staff to clarify questions about content. SI Leaders will also use the class time to take notes, prepare session materials, and connect with students.
