CMIST in the Nation's Capital
The Carnegie Mellon Institute for Strategy and Technology's Washington Center provides a unique opportunity to participate in important conversations happening in our nation's capital. From embassies to nongovernmental organizations, think tanks to advocacy organizations, government agencies to congressional offices, and consulting firms to media outlets, Washington, DC, is the center for many political, international relations, and public policy activities.
Through the Washington Semester Program, students gain a unique academic opportunity to participate in coursework and internships. Students in the program come into direct contact with political, business, and community leaders and learn about the most pressing policy issues of the day.
The Washington Center hosts technology and security focused events open to the public to help further education and conversation. CMIST also provides venue space that can be rented to the general public.
