Bio

My research focuses on various media proliferations of harmful diet culture ideologies like norms about bodies, food, and health. I am particularly interested in the discourse presented and generated by television shows (i.e. the shows' content and how people engage with the shows on blogs, social media, and news articles). I am also working on projects about medical professionals who double as "health influencers," exploring their respective podcasts and social media profiles.
