Join CBESA and its postdoctoral scholar, Dr. Jessica Balguy for her talk titled "Databases on the History of Slavery: From Creation to Uses."

From Dr. Balguy,

"The creation of databases in academic research is undeniably on the rise. This tendency is also illustrated by research into the history of Atlantic slavery. This presentation will look at the challenges involved in creating these tools, which are aimed not only at enriching scientific research, but also at disseminating knowledge about this history to a large audience."
