Water in the Black Atlantic at the Monde en Vues Festival
Guadeloupe, October 11-19, 2024
CBESA curated a special 1 day carte blanche titled on Water in the Black Atlantic at the 2024 Guadeloupe International Festival October 19.
This full day of conversations and workshops in Guadeloupe was done in collaboration with the University of Paris, the University of the French West Indies, and the French National History Museum of Slavery. There were 2 sessions; one on Caribbean literature and second on Water in the Black Atlantic leading to the most highly attended day.
CBESA's Dr. Niang participated in both panels, along with the Center's two invited guests, Alexis Peskine and Zana Mosombuka.
