The purpose of this study was to understand the thoughts and feelings that non-married couples commonly experience in their day-to-day dating relationships. In this study, couple members completed questionnaires and participated in several activities, together and separately.

The purpose of this study was to understand the individual attitudes of couple members who have been in a romantic relationship for 3 months or longer. In this study, participants completed various tasks including imagination tasks and TV-watching tasks.

The purpose of this study was to learn more about newlywed couples and the factors that predict personal and relationship happiness, health, and well-being over time.

 

This study is a follow-up to the Newlywed Study. We reconnected with past participants to further evaluate personal and relationship happiness, health, and well-being over time. The research is ongoing.

The purpose of this study was to learn more about the ways couples think, feel and behave in their marriages in older adulthood (65+). Couples visited the lab together to complete a series of questionnaires, as well participate in various activities. The couples’ physiological condition was measured using blood pressure cuffs and other sensors.

Data collection for this study occurred over two years. We expect to follow up with the participants in the future.

Couples in which one partner was either about to retire or had recently retired visited the lab to complete questionnaires and participate in discussions and games together.
