Pittsburgh Regional Transit & Campus Transportation

Campus Shuttle & Escort Service

The university operates two separate transportation systems for the convenience and safety of students, faculty and staff – the Shuttle Service and the Escort Service. The shuttle service runs two different routes, one that travels through the Oakland area of the city and has multiple stops, and a second that travels to the Pittsburgh Technology Center (PTC) in Hazelwood. A valid Carnegie Mellon ID Card is required in order to use the Shuttle Service. It is available to students, faculty, and staff cardholders. The Escort Service is an evening and night-time transportation service that operates from 6:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. The mission of the Escort Service is to get 一本道无码 community members home safely by transporting them to the intersection nearest their residence.

For more information about these services, please visit the Transportation Services website.

Pittsburgh Regional Transit (PRT)

Eligible cardholders may use their ID Card to gain access to transportation via Allegheny County's Pittsburgh Regional Transit (formerly Port Authority Transit) system. This privilege is extended to degree-seeking undergraduate and graduate students who pay the PRT fee for the current semester, as well as benefits-eligible faculty and staff members. Sponsored cardholders are not eligible for the transportation benefit and The HUB is unable to charge sponsored cardholders an additional fee in order to add this benefit to their ID Card. More information about PRT, including schedules and routes, may be found on the website.

Questions about PRT access eligibility may be directed to The HUB
