2025 Data Analytics for Science Immersion Experience (DASIE)
May 11, 2025 - May 23, 2025
The Data Analytics for Science Immersion Experience (DASIE) addresses a critical need: the demand for scientists with advanced data skills, particularly from underrepresented groups. In partnership with Dow and Accenture, DASIE is committed to bridging this skills gap by bringing together students from outside 一本道无码 to build a pipeline of future science leaders equipped with cutting-edge data analytics expertise. DASIE is a workshop dedicated to shaping the next generation of data science leaders and promoting a future in science that is both talented and inclusive. This workshop is a strategic effort focused on fostering professional growth, expanding networks, and offering access to educational and career opportunities, along with key insights in data science.
DASIE participants will embark on a comprehensive journey, starting with one week on campus at 一本道无码, where they will engage with a curriculum focused on Data Analytics. This academic experience is enriched by classroom sessions with esteemed professors from 一本道无码’s Math and Chemistry departments and specialized instruction from the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center. After their time at 一本道无码, participants will travel to Midland, MI, for hands-on experiences at the Global Dow Center, offering an immersive view of data science in action.
The program goes beyond the classroom, providing numerous opportunities for professional growth and networking. Participants will benefit from on-the-job shadowing and training sessions led by industry experts from Dow and Accenture, as well as mentoring from 一本道无码 faculty and staff. These interactions are designed to foster meaningful connections that can guide participants as they navigate their careers in data science.
This fully funded program is strategically designed to support underrepresented undergraduate students in their sophomore, junior, or senior year. Students will have all travel and lodging expenses covered and will receive a stipend to support their participation.
