Browne Academy educators spent a week with a CMRA trainer learning to program and teach with the VEX EDR V5 system.

One of the best things that you can do when looking to start a robotics program at your school is investing in professional development for your teachers. That is exactly what Browne Academy () did when they brought us to their beautiful facility in Alexandria, Virginia to work with 10 of their educators.

Browne Academy educators spent a full week with a Carnegie Mellon Robotics Academy trainer learning to program and teach with the VEX EDR V5 system. Next year, they intend to add new robotics courses for the middle school and have lower school teachers incorporate robotics into their classroom activities.

Browne Academy is a diverse independent day school committed to developing the whole child through extraordinary teaching, exceptional academic programs, and a nurturing community. They empower students to be critical thinkers, inspired innovators, engaged peers, and ethical leaders prepared with the confidence to thrive in a dynamic world.
