Throughout the month of July, Carnegie Mellon Robotics Academy was hosted in The Bronx, New York. We had an amazing time, working with parents, coaches, and coordinators from multiple districts around New York City. Some attendees already had hands-on experience, while others have only dabbled with the EV3s. Despite the experience gap, we all sat down, experienced the joys and agonies that come with the nature of programming robots, and made our way through the entirety of the training.
The training was sponsored by the NYC Department of Education and Makeosity, held at I.S. 117 Joseph H. Wade Middle School. This was actually the second time that Carnegie Mellon Robotics Academy spent in New York, and we hope to continue and support the relationship with great educators and parents of the area.
