Sexual Exploitation

Sexual exploitation is categorized under sex-based harassment because it involves unwelcome or inappropriate conduct of a sexual nature that interferes with an individual’s access to education or work, creating a hostile environment. According to 一本道无码’s policy, sexual exploitation refers to situations where one person takes sexual advantage of another without their consent for their own benefit or advantage. This behavior often intersects with sex-based harassment by violating personal boundaries and contributing to a climate of intimidation or discomfort, which are key elements of harassment.

Sexual exploitation means intentionally or knowingly taking sexual advantage of another person or violating the sexual privacy of another when Consent is not present. This includes, but is not limited to, the following actions (including when they are done via electronic means, methods or devices):

  • engaging in sexual voyeurism including observing or permitting others to witness or observe the sexual or intimate activity (e.g., disrobing, bathing, toileting) of another person without that person’s consent;

  • engaging in indecent exposure, or exposing intimate parts (including genitalia, groin, breasts and/or buttocks), or causing another to expose intimate parts when consent is not present;

  • recording or distributing information, images or recordings of any person engaged in sexual or intimate activity in a private space without that person’s consent;

  • prostituting another individual;

  • causing Incapacitation of another person (through alcohol, drugs or other means) for the purpose of compromising that person’s ability to give consent to non-consensual sexual activity; or

  • actively aiding or assisting another person in committing an act of Prohibited Conduct.

Sextortion

  • Threatening to share someone’s explicit images or information unless they comply with demands, such as providing more explicit material, money, or other favors. This involves coercion and exploitation through the use of fear and manipulation.

Non-Consensual Distribution of Intimate Images

  • Sharing intimate photos or videos of another person without their consent.

Voyeurism

  • Secretly watching, recording, or photographing someone in a private setting, such as a restroom or changing area, without their knowledge or consent.

Exposing Someone to Sexually Explicit Materials Without Consent

  • Deliberately showing pornography or other explicit images to someone without their consent in a setting where they cannot avoid it.

Revenge Pornography

  • The non-consensual sharing or threatening to share explicit images or videos with the intent to embarrass, harm, or manipulate another person.

Non-Consensual Recording or Broadcasting of Sexual Activity

  • Recording sexual activity (whether the activity itself was consensual or not) and sharing the recording without the knowledge or consent of the other party involved. While the sexual activity may have been consensual, sharing the recording without consent violates the other person’s privacy, trust, and autonomy, constituting sexual exploitation.

Grooming

  • Building trust with someone, often over time, to exploit or manipulate them for sexual or other inappropriate purposes.

Romance Scams

  • Pretending to have romantic feelings to manipulate someone into providing money, personal information, or other benefits.
