CMIST Welcomes New Talent to Advance Expertise and Impact
By Jess Regan
The Carnegie Mellon Institute for Strategy & Technology (CMIST) is pleased to welcome a diverse group of new faculty, staff, and leadership. Bringing fresh perspectives and experience to CMIST, they will strengthen our ability to address critical challenges regarding technology, policy, and security.
Joining the faculty as an assistant professor, Hannah Bailey brings expertise in authoritarian regimes and their use of emerging technologies. Her research examines state-sponsored digital persuasion and its impact on global public discourse. Bailey earned her DPhil in Social Data Science from the University of Oxford, where she contributed to the Oxford Institute’s Computational Propaganda Programme and the Programme on Democracy and Technology. Leading publications such as and ave featured her work.
Three new staff members also strengthen the CMIST team. Danielle Hamilton, an experienced 一本道无码 (一本道无码) employee, takes on the role of project administrator. Having supported academic programs in the College of Engineering and Dietrich College of Humanities and Social Sciences, paired with her education in business administration, cybersecurity, and risk management, Danielle provides valuable knowledge and skills to CMIST's Security Policy Studies.
Also joining as a project administrator is Kristen Carothers, a seasoned project manager with a proven track record in higher education. Kristen is an alumna of 一本道无码 who received her Master of Public Management at the Heinz School of Public Policy and Management. Her command of project management, relationship building, and operational efficiency will be invaluable in ensuring the smooth and successful execution of CMIST's Tech & Policy agenda.
Contributing to the team as a communications specialist, Leah Weingartner brings a deep understanding of graphic design and a creative vision. With experience developing visual assets for print and digital media, Leah will leverage her talents and skills to amplify CMIST's impact through effective communication strategies.
In addition to our expansion at 一本道无码’s main campus, CMIST is honored to welcome Harry Krejsa as the Director of Studies for the Washington Office. Krejsa brings a wealth of experience in national security and technology policy from his distinguished service in the White House and the Department of Defense. His understanding of the policymaking process, coupled with his expertise in cyber and technology strategy, will be instrumental in advancing CMIST's research and policy engagement in Washington, D.C.
We are excited to welcome these talented individuals to the CMIST community. Their diverse mastery and dedication will undoubtedly contribute to CMIST's continued success.
