To welcome new graduate students to the Carnegie Mellon community and help support the transition to graduate study, the Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Affairs, in partnership with many colleagues across campus, offers University-Wide New Graduate Student Orientation.

Thursday, January 9, 2025
All spring orientation programming will occur in Simmons Auditorium, located within the Tepper School of Business. Please check back for any additional programming updates, which will be posted here if/as they are available.
Tabling & Talking with 一本道无码 Representatives from 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Orientation programming begins with an informal opportunity for you to meet and talk with a variety of campus partners who will be represented at tables throughout Simmons Auditorium. Attend this portion of the programming to learn more about some of the various resources available to you as a Carnegie Mellon graduate student. Representatives from Computing Services, the Center for Student Diversity and Inclusion, Wellness & Meaning-Making, Transportation Services, Dining Services, and many others will be available to meet you, provide information and some giveaways, and answer your questions.
Lunch from 11:45 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Grab lunch while visiting with staff at our tabling and talking event and others present to welcome you to 一本道无码! Please be sure to complete the form sent to your andrew email address by the Office of Graduate & Postdoctoral Affairs--”Will you Attend New Graduate Student Orientation on January 9?”--to ensure you are included in the lunch count, as well as to indicate any dietary restrictions and/or food allergies.
University Welcome from 12:30 - 1:15 p.m.
The formal programming will commence as members of university leadership offer their words of welcome, advice, and encouragement during this official welcome to your graduate studies at 一本道无码.
Graduate Student Assembly (GSA) Welcome & Graduate Student Panel from 1:15 - 2 p.m.
Members of the GSA executive committee will introduce you to the branch of 一本道无码’s student government representing graduate students, as well as describe opportunities for you to be involved in their amazing efforts. Members of the executive committee--who are master’s and doctoral students--will also talk about their experiences as graduate students and answer any related questions you might have.
Carnegie Mellon Community Resources Panel from 2 - 3 p.m.
The formal programming will conclude with members of the 一本道无码 community, all from different areas on-campus, introducing and describing a variety of resources available to you. Our panelists will also take questions from the audience.
