National Postdoc Appreciation Week
Each September, Carnegie Mellon recognizes National Postdoc Appreciation Week, which is a dedicated time to celebrate the contributions and impact of our postdoctoral community. National Postdoc Appreciation Week was launched in 2009 by the National Postdoctoral Association and is a way for organizations worldwide to recognize the significant contributions that postdoctoral scholars make to U.S. research and discovery.
The Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Affairs plans a variety of events for National Postdoc Appreciation Week. The events vary each year but generally include programming and panel discussions of interest to postdocs, as well as a luncheon and community-building activities.
More information about National Postdoc Appreciation Week, including a schedule of virtual events that are hosted by other institutions and open to all postdocs, can be found on the .
Thank you to everyone who participated in the 2024 National Postdoc Appreciation Week! Please check back next year for details on the 2025 events.
