You belong! On Wednesday, March 1, from 5:30 to 7 p.m., join University Health Services and Dining Services at the Peter/Wright-CUC. In this interactive session, define and explore how fatphobia and weight stigma exist within and around us all. Learn about the steps we can all take as individuals and as a community to address weight bias and dismantle diet culture on campus. Want to learn more? !

Production, Flow & Speaking in the U.S. Classroom

Join this in-person workshop on Wednesday, March 1, at 4 p.m.! The Student Academic Success Center will host a workshop focusing on production, flow and speaking in U.S. classrooms. Please complete this form to register for this workshop. Once your registration is complete, you will receive an email confirmation, including the location of the workshop. .

Three Minute Thesis (3MT)

Check out the Three Minute Thesis (3MT)® Championships on Tuesday, February 28, at 6 p.m., in the College of Fine Arts Building's Kresge Theatre! 3MT® is an internationally recognized competition that pits Ph.D. students against the clock and each other to explain their complex research and captivate their audience in 3 minutes, in language that anyone can understand. 3MT® is an exercise that develops academic, presentation and research communication skills, consolidating their ideas and research discoveries. Eight finalists will compete in the 3MT® Championship for prizes. .

Fix-it-Fair - Mending Workshop

Do you have shirts missing buttons or pants that need hemmed? Don't throw them out, bring them to the Fix-it Fair! On Wednesday, March 1, from 3 to 6 p.m., "menders" will be available to help you repair your items and make them good as new. Don't have anything in need of repair but want to learn? Stop by to learn a few new mending skills. The event will occur in conjunction with this year's Campus Race to Zero Waste. Volunteers gather on campus to mend items brought in by the campus community and share some mending skills with those interested. Also, bring your gently used business and business casual attire to be mended and donated to the Tartan Scholars Ambitions closet. .

Fair Trade Coffee Tasting

Young Adult: South Side Coffee Hike

On Saturday, Feb. 26, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., take a morning hike through the southside to check out three awesome coffee shops. This hike features stops at Big Dog Coffee, Delanie's Coffee, and De Fer Coffee and Tea! The walk will total 3.2 miles, all while exploring the streets and trails of the southside. Along the way, you will see some great public artworks, local shops, and river views. Bring friends, make friends, and connect with nature! Coffee is available for purchase at each café. .

Dancing Peacock: Yanlai Dance Academy Performance

Enjoy a traditional Chinese dance performance on Saturday, Feb. 25, at 7 p.m., at the August Wilson African American Cultural Center. This event is hosted by the Yanlai Dance Academy, Pittsburgh's pre-professional Chinese dance school. This year's annual performance will feature traditional Chinese dance with costumes and choreography straight from ancient dynasties in China. .

Tropical Forest Hawai'i Festival

Take a trip to the tropic without leaving Pittsburgh! On Saturday, Feb. 25, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., head over to Phipps Conservatory for a full day of exciting activities for all ages at the Tropical Forest Hawai'i Festival. This year's event features live a live Polynesian magic show, traditional dances from the Hawaiian Islands, presentations on rare Hawaiian plants, and more, all inspired by one of the world's most botanically and culturally rich forest regions. .
