Arrival Checklist
Once you’ve arrived on campus, use this checklist of things to do in your first few days.
Undergraduate Students and Exchange Students
- Attend International Undergraduate Orientation and complete the mandatory immigration check-in. More informationcan be found the Orientation webpage.
- Immigration check-in must be completed by the end of the first week of classes or you will lose your legal nonimmigrant status in the U.S.!
- Complete course registration procedures. This is usually done before you arrive or at First Year Orientation. Check with your academic department.
- Get your student ID card on Move-In Day.
- Open a bank account. When you attend international student orientation you will receive detailed information on the many full-service banks close to campus. In the meantime, check out the following websites:

Graduate Students and Exchange Students
- Secure transitional housing (if necessary).
- Report to your academic department and complete registration procedures. Your department may have other tasks for you and should also be able to give you your student ID number and email user ID, if ready.

Secure temporary housing.
