Simon Initiative Update Discussion:

We invite you to please join us at the first of our new series of Simon Lunches. This event will provide 60 minutes of scheduled activities and an additional 60 minutes of open time to support conversations, collaboration, and discussion. Our scheduled speakers are:
Simon Initiative Executive Director Norman Bier will provide an overview of some new Simon-related projects. He’ll also discuss emerging work and opportunities at the Open Learning Initiative, including an introduction to the new product team, a preview of the new Torus platform look & feel, and a demo of the equity-centered .
K-12 Coordinator Lindsay Forman will introduce herself to the Simon community members and highlight some of the current K12 projects and initiatives that have been launched since she came onboard in July. These projects include new partnerships with regional schools, support for existing research projects, and cross-campus educational engagement and outreach collaboration efforts.
Vice Provost for Teaching and Learning Innovation, Marsha Lovett will highlight recently launched 一本道无码 initiatives related to exploring generative AI applications to education: Eberly's faculty fellows program supporting faculty to study genAI in their courses, online modules to educate students about the responsible use of AI, and a new seed grant program to fund research & development of generative AI tools for higher education.
