Mentoring
The Center supports and connects historically underrepresented students and those who are first in their family to attend college in a setting where students’ differences and talents are guided, appreciated, and reinforced. We offer programs and initiatives that increase awareness and engage the community in support of this commitment. At the core and intersection of many of our initiatives is mentoring.
A true mentorship focuses on the professional and personal development of the mentee. A healthy mentorship encompasses active listening, empathy, advice giving, support, open communication and respect.
Advice and Coaching
The Center's professional staff serve as a resource to assist students in connecting, developing and achieving educational plans that are compatible with their life goals.
