How Does It Feel To Be a Problem? is the existential question posed by famed sociologist W.E.B. DuBois in his book The Souls of Black Folk. Ask almost any person of color in America what their journey in America is like and you’re bound to get a story of being treated as different, as an “other,” as someone who is perceived to be suspicious, a threat, a problem.
With the assistance of scholars, authors, and activists, How Does It Feel To Be a Problem? takes the audience on a journey to better understand what it feels like to live in a society where you are not wanted, where steady reminders inform you that there are many Americas and that a United America is and always was a myth.
