is the story of three young adults living under the gaze of the Hynn projects. An unexpected friendship causes a break in social structure and for a few immeasurable moments inverts the Blacktop and the Sky. Drawing inspiration from the Pittsburgh community, the production team immersed themselves in the history of East Liberty. Creating the online archive put us in conversation with local artists Chris Ivey and Ty Greenwood. As long term residents Chris and Ty are already engaged in work centering the Black community and both shared their experiences via a zoom talk held on April 9th, 2020. In the post-process dialogue School of Drama collaborators are leaving with a broader awareness of our role as artists in the Pittsburgh community.
